Mover Dudes was started in 2006 by Jon Eye, the company’s current president. Eye had been working for a self-storage company helping people move in and out of homes in Winchester, Virginia. After hearing about all of the difficulties and stresses people were consistently experiencing when moving, Eye decided that he wanted to help them. He envisioned a company that kept its word to the customer, was honest about costs, and relieved the common stresses of moving. Mover Dudes is now the reality of his vision.

The company started small in Winchester, Virginia, but with a small ad in the telephone book the company grew. Eye and his hard-working crew began moving local residents out of the area, and before they knew it, the name “Mover Dudes” was catching on. Long distance moves soon expanded into commercial moves after one year in business.

Mover Dudes continued to grow, even while fighting, like everyone else, through the tough economy. Our facilities and service areas have continued to expand so that we can offer greater service to our customers. One of our satellite locations opened in Leesburg, Virginia in 2011; a second one opened in Richmond, Virginia, in 2016. We also now have a 5,000 sq. ft. warehouse located in Winchester, Virginia, which opened in 2013. We are currently focusing on growing into new areas so that we can expand our company’s professionalism and quality to more customers.

Mover Dudes has moved thousands of people. We move doctors, attorneys, professional athletes, businesses, churches, families, friends, and everyone in between. The commitment to customer service and professionalism which Jon and the other Mover Dudes stick to has never ceased, and it shows with every move.
