My stuff was picked up on time as promised. The movers were courteous and did a great job, wrapped my furniture with blankets and table glass tops, and I had quite a few. They were quick and professional. None of my stuff was broken or missing and I was most happy that my furniture arrived without any mishaps. The guys were very cautious with my belongings which they covered with blankets and plastics, and kept a very professional approach through the entire moving procedure. The crew was very punctual and efficient. They were cooperative in answering all my emails promptly. The van arrived on time and the foreman and his workers came to our home and were all focused on their respective jobs and tried their best to get the job done as quickly as possible. They put all fragile items like glasses, mirrors, plates, etc. in boxes. That’s the reason no scratches, breaks, or anything unwanted happened in the entire move. The guys delivered my belongings. They brought all items to our second floor apartment carrying those up the stairs. They were very pleasant and helped us whenever we wanted to. I strongly recommend General moving & storage.

I want to give this place ZERO stars!!! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! They absolutely cheated me out of my money!!! The initial person who did my estimate left off important items from my inventory, they didn’t reserve enough space for the items on my inventory, they sent one mover to pick everything up and he upcharged me to utilize extra space on the truck for items that he said were not included on my inventory but actually were (i.e. he said my bed frames were on the inventory but not my mattresses), I called customer service and she and the mover argued about the space (she said he wasn’t giving the quoted about and/or packing it wrong and he yelled at her about not knowing her cubic footage), they took over 3 weeks to deliver when they intia said 7 days max and I called 3 times about delivery and they literally gave me a different time frame each time, and when the mover showed up he tol me didn’t know how to assemble anything, so a guy from my neighbor helpEd assemble one bed, AND some of my furniture and an appliance was damaged. The only thing that makes matters worse is the person in “upper management “ I spoke with was extremely rude. The service is GARBAGE!!!

I had so much fun while I was moving. The moving team made the whole atmosphere easy, light and friendly, but at the same time they were working on my packing and storing. I recommend their services, you won’t regret it, and you won’t get robbed, because their prices are very affordable. General moving & storage is the best way to go! This made me think that if they were behaving like this when they don’t have my work, how would they react when they have my work. General moving & storage was the only company that seemed to be to the point; they were not over promising and promised me quality and timely completion of my move. They also never charged me anything till I was convinced I had confirmed that I would be hiring them. Their packing and moving services were very good. They never charged us anything extra and we never found any damage once the move was completed. The move was an interstate move and even with the distance the company managed to pull off a damage free move for us. Finally I would like to finish by saying that this is a very experienced and customer friendly moving company and I have absolutely no problem in recommending them.

They ensured professional service from the star to the finish. Really lovely guys who worked so hard to get the job done. Everything was packed and wrapped really well. The job was underestimated but we realised this and came to a fair price. Great value for money. The team was careful and well mannered. They really worked so hard and were really pleasant to deal with. As well as being cheap they are on time, honest, trustworthy and careful with our belongings. On the day they arrived promptly. All of the guys were extremely polite and worked very hard all day. Everything arrived in perfect condition and they made sure everything was where we wanted it before finishing.

I need to travel a lot due to my job. Now this time was an interstate move, and I chose General Moving & Storage again because they always fit me in and also for the right price. I got the same foreman as last time. He is very nice and friendly and he did recognize me. I saw him tell his boys to be very careful and take very good care of me. That really made me feel good. And he turned out right! They were spot on. The kids absolutely loved them. They are so friendly and caring and not to forget that they are highly experienced. Fragile items wrapped, PRICING unbeatable, my sales rep was patient but also fair, so I could get the service I needed. Delivery took about a week and a half cross county. Movers were professional and customer service at General moving & storage was reachable before, during; and after. I couldn’t be happier!

DOOOOO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY. I never leave reviews but I had to because of the amount of stress this company gave us. They texted us the night before the move and said sorry we can’t come and after hours of conversations they said we have to pay hundreds of dollars more to accommodate and then they constantly cancelled every day. So much more to say but overall plz plz plz don’t hire them if you care about your stress/money. And overall don’t like being lied to

Finally I found the best mover! As someone who moves A LOT, they have been by far the best. Showed up on time, super friendly and professional and very quick and insanely attentive to detail, put everything where it needed to be. I moved from CA to FL and was SCAMMED out of all of my stuff. They are holding it hostage and threatening to put it up for auction after TWELVE WEEKS of going back and forth. They are refusing delivery and trying to charge me 5x the original amount. I hired General Moving & Storage (Pompano Beach FL) who brokered it out to Perfectly Fast Moving (Cali). Both companies are shady, they have F ratings on the BBB and I am sharing my story to help save anyone who considers them in the future. Its been 3 months, I don’t have any of my items (in fact some of it ended up with a stranger in New York) and they are trying to extort me for an insane amount of money to get any of my stuff back. IF YOU ARE MOVING A LONG DISTANCE, just sell everything and rebuy it. TRUST ME… all moving companies are shady and I am not the first person this has happened too and sadly, won’t be the last. They don’t care about you as a person, all they care about is the money and they’ve been scammers from the beginning.

I hired General moving & storage last month and it was the best possible decision on my part. They had an unbeatable quote and a friendly customer service. The movers were very efficient and worked very time sparingly. It was all great but I wasn’t budging until all my valuables were safely delivered. The van pulled up right on schedule at my new house. I took an inventory and nothing was missing. I checked every piece and nothing was damaged. I still can’t digest the level of efficiency displayed by this no-nonsense moving company.

This is the best group of movers that I have ever worked with. They are so good at what they do and know so many little ways to make the moving process easier. Movers of General moving & storage available when we needed them; they showed up on schedule and hustled to get us moved in a reasonable amount of time. No extra or hidden fees, we ONLY paid the original quoted hourly rate, which also included boxing and packaging of flat screen TV’s and a large mirror! Highly recommend them!

The long distance was my biggest concern during this move. But I have to say, General moving & storage took really good care of everything. The movers arrived on time. They were all very efficient and experienced. It took them just 2.5 hours to finish loading everything onto the van. They packed everything very well earlier so my valuables could survive the long trip. I was given quite a long window for the delivery. But luckily they delivered everything on the first day and I could happily avoid sleeping in the sleeping bag. 2 of my plates didn’t survive the trip. Everything else travelled quite well. I will surely hire General moving & storage again.

This is the second time we used General moving & storage. The reason we used them again was due to the great and professional service they provided last year. This time they did not disappoint. Showed up on time, were very efficient and hard working while being careful with our stuff. The office staff were also friendly, efficient and helpful. Good value for the money also. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! We used this company for our move from San Francisco to Louisville in late 2020. After we paid, they contracted our move out to a third party moving company without telling us they were doing that and without any information about that company. This third party company turned out to be criminal- literally. (Read: https://www.reviewjournal.com/crime/5-arrested-in-las-vegas-florida-in-moving-company-fraud-scheme-2410471/ ). We were told by General Moving our things would be delivered within 21 days. Over two months later, we not only did not have our things, but no one from either General Moving or Konami (the company that has now been arrested) would tell us where our things were or how we could get them. When we would contact General Moving, they would tell us it was out of their hands and they couldn’t help us. The moving company we paid thousands to couldn’t help us with our move…?! The third party movers threatened to keep our things if we didn’t pay more. Our hands were tied and we were months without our things. When we finally got our things, 100% of our belongings were either lost/stolen or completely ruined- table legs broken off, huge gouges out of wooden furniture, entire dressers and boxes not delivered/lost forever. When we complained to General Moving and asked for compensation we received none. We were told again it was out of their hands and the only apology we ever received was a “sorry to hear your move was less than perfect.” Less than perfect? The movers were arrested by the FBI in a massive investigation. Less than perfect seems like an understatement. We worked with FBI agents and are happy Konami was arrested at least, but are appalled at the complete lack of accountability and shady behind-the-scenes practices of General Moving. Again, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. You have no way of knowing who they will give your things to and if you will ever see them again.

General moving & storage moved us to Charlotte from Pompano Beach. They did a great job meeting our needs. We basically just had to tell them what we were looking for and they helped us as best as they could. They arrived on time for both pickup and delivery. The movers were professional and kind and worked nonstop. I did not have a single item show up broken or even scratched. Everything showed up at the delivery location in the same condition in which it left at the pickup location. I would use this company again as well as referring any family and friends.

Very friendly staff, they did not use pushy sales tactics. One of the coordinators was the best that I spoke with after getting all the calls. Answered a lot of my questions and really went through a good inventory on what I moved. He saved me tons of money with moving tips. I went out and got boxes for my TV and for clothes. It was my first time doing this and it went a lot smoother than I had planned for. A close friend warned me and said you have to be careful. Don’t go with the lowest price, you get what you pay for. I really shopped around haha, Their estimate was a little higher and past my budget but it was worth every dollar not having to haul that myself and the time.

I contracted General Moving & Storage after a horrific experience with a different mover. I was in a panic and had to get everything handled at the last minute because the other movers left me high and dry and didn’t show. The sales guy was very professional, and assured me the movers would be on time, and that they would handle my move as efficiently and quickly as possible. My move was scheduled at 10am. I received a call at 9:30 stating that they were on the way. The whole crew was there and ready by 9:55am. After signing some paperwork, they got right to work. The foreman was super awesome and made me feel very comfortable with them moving my things. I would recommend using them for any job large or small hands down.

They took the time to carefully package up all our items and put everything back together once everything was delivered to the new home. They were friendly and made the move as easy as possible. We contacted them and they were here in no time. They handled everything with care and didn’t drop a thing. They had to work late because time was short, but they did it with pleasure. We are very happy with the experience and highly recommend their services.

My wife and I used General moving & storage last week and they did a super job, my wife said. She was so happy with their services I was very surprised because my wife is pretty hard to please, I can tell you that. I really don’t know what I would’ve done without their services. They did all of the packing, unpacking and setting up of all of our furniture, even our children’s bunk beds! Whew, what a load up, I can’t begin to tell you what a load off that was for us. Their foreman and his teammates were awesome. They arrived on time and in great-spirit. They first asked us to walk them through what we had and what was expected to move. Then they got to work quickly and efficiently. They wrapped all the large furniture with padded blankets and helped put misc. items into boxes. They did a wonderful job quickly clearing my old apartment and bringing everything up to the new apartment in under estimated time!
